Books are one of people's greatest gifts to each other. The ability to share and express thoughts that could inspire and support others is a beautiful phenomena that no child should be denied. Every child should be able to learn and broaden their minds, losing themselves in their imaginations and being inspried by the amazing worlds created by fantastic authors. However, some barriers may prevent children from experiencing the wonderful world of books. According to Scholastic, sixty-one percent of low-income families have no books for the children in their homes, hindering the child's academic and social development. The Bridge of Books Foundation assists children by giving them books to enhance their imaginations and their worlds, as well as their literacy skills, ultimately increasing their acadmic achievements. The beauty of books is a creative and inspirational gift that should not be limitted to certain people but should be available to all so that every great mind can grow and be inspired.
