           Following the wise words of Dr. Seuss, creativity and ambition will prosper through the use of reading. However, there are so many children that lack the opportunity to hold a book in their hands, much less be able to read it. That is why I come to you in hopes of fundraising for these children. With raising this money, not only will we be able to provide children with either entertaining or informative literature, but also improve their education with the vital skill of reading literacy.

           Although some may dismiss the importance of having books at home, just the exposure to reading dramatically transforms an individual's motivation to pursue learning literacy. Unfortunately, 61% of low income families do not have the privilege of having books in their home. Illiteracy is a major issue in the United States, and it can be helped by people like us who join and fundraise for this cause.

          Under this non profit organization, Bridge of Books, fundraised money will go to purchasing new and appropriate books to surprise children with. This foundation gives them the chance of accepting books in good conditions to encourage them to further advance their reading skills. Any donation will go a long way and will impact a children's life in ways that words cannot describe. Thank you for hearing our cause and I hope you too see the importance in giving the less fortunate and the future generation the resources for success.
