Dear Friends and Family,

This semester at Monmouth University, my classmates and I are participating in a learning service project with the Bridge of Books Foundation. Together, we are hosting a virtual book drive and gathering donations to help with the foundation.

The Bridge of Books Foundation is a nonprofit organization whose mission is as they state to, “provide an ongoing source of books to underserved children throughout New Jersey in order to support the development of literacy skills and to encourage a love of reading”. It is so important that every child can grow up with access to books so they can look forward to a successful future.

Each day many books that are being donated are being distributed to kids across the state of New Jersey with the help of agencies, schools, youth corps and community events. As to this day the foundation has gathered over half a million books to children across New Jersey.

Help by donating and make a difference in a childs life! How different would your life be today if you did not grow up surrounded by books? How many books do you own in your home?
