This semester at Monmouth University my english class and I are raising money for a great cause! Bridge of Books is a great non-profit organization that helps children with low literacy. I have learned much about the Bridge of Books Foundation, and the organization is helping many children across New Jersey. Everyone in my class is making a page, and fundraising for Bridge of Books Foundation. 

• Children before entering kindergarten many children do not even have basic reading and language skills which is around 34% of children (rif.org)
• Many children will gorw up without learning how to read this happens 1 in 4 children (dosomething.org)
• Children who have parents with low literacy are more likely to have low literacy skills themselves by 72% (proliteracy.org

Bridge of Books Foundation uses all donated money for children's books and brings them all to children and schools in low income areas, that may not be able to afford books in the first place. Bridge of Books is trying to really help all of the children all over New Jersey. 

Imagine growing up with no books in your home. 

Books have the power to change lives - educationally, socially, emotionally and professionally. Unfortunately, there are still too many children today without books in their homes, schools and communities.
